The picture above was taken at the Stephen's Performing Arts Center on January 16, 2017 at 1:42pm. It is a picture of the Guard presenting the flags at the Martin Luther King tribute following a march of diversity. The picture presents
layering, in the foreground is a picture of Abraham Lincoln, in the midground is the men preparing for the flag presentation, and in the background is the door that they entered from. Even though I asked them if I could take their photo, they resumed their conversation which made this a
candid shot. The men are off to the left and the picture is on the right which uses the
rule of thirds for
dynamic subject placement and
balance. The carpet on the ground acts as a
line that leads to one of the subjects. In the picture there is white and darker colors which helps
color balance the light from the sun on the left and the darker rug and uniforms from the gentlemen.
