what is he looking at?

Philburt is my parents dog. Family dog for 5 years now.
This picture was taken at my parents house at 10:03 pm.
Color ( the dog is color white and he draws our eye)
Depth and perspective ( the distance between the dogs
head and his body creates depth
the rule of thirds ( the dog is in the top right corner)
I called his name and he looked up as soon as I took the
shot with my phone.
