Monday morning potty break for Coda the dog
Monday morning on January 16th 2017, Coda the dog really had to go. As I watched her from my balcony I noticed that the roof tops of the garages created a unique use of vertical lines to draw the eye to the subject. Coda was in the perfect spot to use the rule of thirds but it would have been better with a little cropping. She is in the top third of the picture and a little off center. The pretty much all white background creates a nice color scheme for the subject because she is easy to notice which draws the eye. I was able to use a hi angle as I was up one story from Coda. You are able to see layering and a little bit of z-axis because the lines created by the roof suggest a line leading into the photo and they are closer than the dog.
