| In this second photo, I took the picture from a high angle since I was at the top of the stairs. This angle draws the viewer down the stairs and leads us to the person at the bottom. The color of the stairs give off a somber feeling, however, the red color of the sheet and the orange color of her shorts give us more pleasure and excitement, leading our eyes to be directed toward the action at the bottom of the stairs. There are many different lines in this photo. There are the horizontal lines of the stairs, the vertical yet slanted line of the railing, as well as the strong vertical and horizontal lines of the doorways. Along with this, pattern is very common. The stairs themselves are an obvious repeating pattern, but the fact that there are three doorways the same distance away from each other in all directions keeps the pattern going throughout the photo. The fact that I took this photo from the top of the stairway, but at a slight curve, gives the image a canted angle. This is a very prominent candid shot I took since my friend didn't know I was taking the photo. I took this photo of my best friend, Jenny McCaw, at her house here in Pocatello, Idaho. She was doing laundry when I visited her and told me that every time she passes that doorway that she has to do a pull-up. This adds more clarity to the candid since we can see her braided hair captured in its movement after she had completed a pull-up. This photo was taken on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at around 12:45pm and I found it interesting due to it's authenticity and motion. |
