This green and brown antique box has its beautiful flaws. The beauty comes out as the picture was taken in my friends home in Pocatello Idaho at 9:02 pm January 16th on the outskirts of town. Her love for collectable boxes is seen in the photograph with favorite green box being the center of attention. Using the rule of thirds, the placement of the box was chosen so that the viewer would find it balanced. Following the horizontal line to the end of the shelf makes it multi layered with the mirror in the background. The depth in the photo comes from taking the photo from a slightly tilted perspective. The perspective makes the viewer wonder what is on the rest of the shelf. Using the rule of thirds is obvious because the main object in the photo takes up the right of the photograph, The small lamp creates a vertical line with the mirror for added attention and the top of the photo. There is color and contrast with the shelf being white and the box a dark green flowing to a tanner color of the objects in the farther end of the photo.
