Coffee

This photo was taken Friday January 12th, 2017 at about 8am as I was enjoying my morning coffee. This image shows very dramatic depth of field, with the subjects crystal clear in front of a softly blurred background. The layering in the photo is less obvious because of this effect. The leading line that the spine of the book creates, ultimately leads the eye back to the coffee cup, which is the main subject, even though it shares the same colors and the rest of the photo. Without the book directing you and the shallow depth of field it would not be clear what the subject was. The warm white tones really make the color in the book stand out.
