Jac Holding Still
In a second attempt at a photo shoot with a very active dog, Jac puts all of his concentration into holding still. This picture utilizes look room (there is more space in the direction Jac is looking than there is behind him), leading line (the line created by the crate in the background leads the eye in more or less the same direction Jac is looking), and minor layering (Jac, then the closer side of the crate, then the far side up against the wall, each a little more out of focus than the last, creating some depth). This photo was meant to be candid, but Jac moved too quickly and randomly for the conditions of the photo, so he had to lay. This picture was taken January 16th, 2017, in Pocatello, ID, at the house of my boyfriend. Jac is his dog. The photo was cropped to remove the unsightly outlet in the background.
