Sydney pauses for a brief moment during our walk to look over the sage and snow-covered landscape as well as take a break from slipping on the ice. The sun shines brightly onto the powdery snow, creating dancing sparkles everywhere we look.
This photo was taken Sunday January 15, 2017 at 1:50PM on a backroad outside American Falls, Idaho. It is a candid photo (she wasn’t paying attention to me) it is also heavily contrasted from the light glinting off the sky and the brightness of the sky with the dark sagebrush and the shadow on the left side of her face. There is also shallow depth of field with the focus being on her profile in the foreground and the background behind her being blurred. The rule of thirds is in use in this photograph, with Sydney being on the right side of the vertical lines.
