Abby near the fire for warmth

This photo was taken January 14th 2017 around 12p.m. The photo is of my dog Abby. This photo is layered with the pillow in the foreground, Abby in the mid ground and fire in the background. This photo was candid because Abby had just lifted her head after hearing someone come in our backdoor. It uses the rule of thirds with Abby in one section and the wood in another. There is color and contrast with the black dog being in front of the bright orange fire and neutral colors of the wood, wall, and fire place. The mantle above the fire creates a horizontal line in the upper section of the photo. There is some texture visible with the wood.
