Alyssa Jean Granatir, Photos and Captions Assgn. Photo 1: Curled up with Cupcake

Here I have a a multi-layered image featuring my hand in foreground, my pet sugar glider, Cupcake, mid-ground, and my legs as the background. The green washrag featured in the photo adds a high level of color contrast to an image full of peachy-beige colors drawing the viewer's eye to Cupcake, my focal point. Additionally, the washrag adds an element of framing around Cupcake and creates balance on either side of her. In the background, my legs work as leading diagonal lines that further draw an eye into the photo, and my legs can be seen as a representation of psychological closure because the viewer knows my legs extend to full length, but it is not needed in the photo. This photo was taken in my dorm around 12:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 10th.
